2. Properties descriptions:

This product is white powder material, which can not be dissolved in water, cold ethanol and ether. But it can be dissolved in hot benzene, turpentine, etc. organic solvent and it can be slightly dissolved in hot ethanol and ether. It will be broken down when heated to 400℃, combustible, it will be broken down into stearic acid and corresponding calcium salts when encountering strong acid. It has hygroscopicity property.

5. Product Applications:

Calcium Stearate has many functions, mainly used as construction water-proof agent, stabilizer agent, lubricant, paint flat agent, pencil core lubricant, plastic release agent, lubricant thickener, polypropylene, Halogen absorbent for polyethylene, PVC heat stabilizer, many plastic processing lubricant, etc. In the hardening products, it can be combine with basic lead salt and lead soap to increase the gelation speed. It can be also used in food package, medical equipment and other non-toxic requirements for soft film and equipment. It can be used as polypropylene, Halogen absorbent for polyethylene to eliminate the residue of catalyst’s negative influence on the color and stability. It can be used as plasticizer in the rubber processing industry, which can make the natural rubber soft and hardly has any influence on the sulfuration. It can be used as lubricant for polyolefin fiber and moulding plastics, thicker for lubricating grease, water-proof agent for fabric, paint flatting agent, thickener for plastic CD, etc. It can be used in pencil core production and pharmaceutical and perfumery industry.
